To be blunt, tallow is the fat around a cow's kidney and for thousands of years our ancestors used tallow as a means of skincare, among many other uses. Once the commercial cosmetic industry took over, many products began using petroleum based products. We believe in getting back to our roots and using what nature has provided us. We also believe in nose to tail nutrition, and utilizing tallow does just that by making great skincare products out of something that could otherwise be discarded.

All ingredients are organic, and our tallow is from grass fed, grass finished cows.  While it may seem strange to rub cow fat on your skin, it's incredibly rich in fat soluble vitamins, including vitamin A, D, E, and K.    Naturally contains oleic acid, which is anti-inflammatory and helps the tallow sink deeper into your skin.  Conjugated linoleic acid is amazing for skin and amazingly occurs in tallow, providing moisture to your skin. It keeps you skin barrier strong, which will help seal in that moisture.  Palmitic acid acts as an emollient, and you guessed it, is in our miracle tallow.  

Not to mention the chemical composition of tallow is very similar to our skin's natural sebum, which is why tallow won't clog your pores.  Personally, we believe this is why people with sensitive or acne-prone skin do well with tallow.  Not-so-coincidentally, the word sebum is Latin for tallow!
